The family’s Usó Prades company was born in the late fifties in El Born Market of Barcelona, one of the wholesale markets at that time.
A path initiated in a small handling and packing orange facility in Alqueries.
Later on, in the 1960s, it continues in a small manufacturing warehouse in Lerida and it expands with a new 4.000 square meters warehouse in Alqueries. In 1982 it is found the origin of the current plant in Vila-real, an important part of our history that is in constant evolution. In 2013 we opened the new plant in Onda (with 22.000 square meters covered) and we extended it in 2020 by 14.000 more square meters.

Since 2006, Mercamadrid, one of the biggest European markets of perishable goods, is one of the locations where you can find Frutinter. This way the company has grown in the Spanish territory.
It is true that our trajectory in Mercamadrid is not as long as that of Mercabarna, however our expectations are for the growth of our infrastructures in this market with great potential.
MERCABARNA
We are in Mercabarna since its origins in 1967. This market offers one of the widest goods variety in the agri-food sector in Europe.
We have five different locations there. Our modern facilities in the C Hall also include offices for a better customer care.
We are aware of how fruits and vegetables have to be stored and we want to satisfy our customers. For this reason, since 2005 we also have a Distribution Platform in this market. This heated platform is the perfect complement to the rest of our facilities, since it has a refrigeration-conservation capacity. These facilities make our logistics faster and more efficient, enabling distribution for the client. This makes or service optimal.
